Bring Me The Horizon

Bring Me The Horizon are an English deathcore band from Sheffield, Yorkshire. The band formed in the year 2004 from members of other bands within their local area. They play a style of music that fuses death metal and metalcore, known as deathcore — although they have taken on a more eclectic style with their latest album ‘Suicide Season’.

The band consists of bad boy vocalist Oliver Sykes, lead guitarist Lee Malia, bass guitarist Matt Kean and drummer Matt Nichols. Bring Me the Horizon are also set to join Mindless Self Indulgence, In Case Of Fire, Black Tide and Dir en grey on the Kerrang! and Relentless 2009 UK tour. They are also set to join Thursday, Cancer Bats, Four Year Strong and Pierce the Veil on the Taste of Chaos 2009 North American tour.

    Okay.
Bring me the Horizon is not a fucking emo band. Whoever wrote that needs to do some
some research and get their shit right.
Are you calling them emo because a bunch of little “emo” kids listen to it
    ?
Or do you know that emo is an actual genre of music?

    LOL, calm down.

All bands listed on the site and listed because a lot of their fans are what you refer to as ‘litte emo kids’. We realise that emo is considered a genre of music but at My Little Emo we acknowledge all music as expressional and emotive. It is not necessarily your idea of emo music – we’re just helping spread the word about bands that a lot of alternative people like. Bring Me The Horizon fit into that category. They’re a great band and deserve recognition. They’re not emo in the stereotypical sense, but they do belong on this site.
